On December 19, 2009 l married Greg Shawgo. We met last April, were engaged July
4th and the rest they say, is history. I plan to continue to promote my program, A.I.M.S.: Academic Improvement through
Musical Studies, as I work as a K-12 Music teacher in Montana where Greg and I have relocated with his new position as a youth
pastor.
As budget cuts reduce music programs in schools, it is important to implement music into
the core academics where ever possible. I believe it to be the key to academic success.
I
have retired from competing and crowned my successor to Miss Nashville, September 19, 2009 I wish all of my fellow Miss
Tennesse titleholders the best as they pursue their goals.
